Meeting Recap

  • Minutes and Information
    • Geospatial Summit is coming up soon - submit your abstract and help spread the word to vendors
    • Have a look at the recent "What's New" for ArcPro 3.7 - lots of good info
    • Parcel webinar is next week
  • ArcMap
    • DOT is now off of ArcMap, Game and Fish is remaining agency
    • .mxd files can be brought into ArcPro meaning we don't need to keep ArcMap around
    • Once ArcMap is no longer used as a daily driver, the Hub's geodatabases will be upgraded
  • Geodatabase Housekeeping
    • The Committee looked at the staging and test geodatabases.  There is content in those that can be removed
    • As a reminder, before updating production data to place a copy in the archive geodatabase
  • Strategic Plan
    • The plan has been updated with current status of goals and published to the website.
    • Five goals remain open
    • The current plan extends into 2027 during which we'll develop a new plan.  Bob asked the Committee to provide their insight and ideas that will benefit all agencies and their own
    • Brock brought up AI, to have guidance from the SGC for documentation, processes, what has been created by AI, etc. AI will be included in our new Strategic Plan
  • Using Hub data with ArcPro
    • Just a reminder on accessing Hub Data Portal data from ArcPro.  The use of searching and filtering, navigating with data groups.
    • As more people become comfortable with ArcPro, the Catalog View & Pane will make it easier to find and access data from authoritative data sources
  • Roundtable/Open Forum
    • Brock asked if there has been any news on statewide imagery, e.g., state funded.  No news
    • Bob said that as part of that question, both imagery and elevations goals need to be included in the new Strategic Plan.
