If you need to report an incident/have a question or need to request something to be done, please use the online form to log a ticket with the Information Technology Service Desk or call the Service Desk at 701-328-4470. Utilizing the online form is recommended because you are able to enter in detailed information which helps ensure incidents are routed to the proper personnel and solved in a more timely manner.

If you are not with a North Dakota State Agency

  • In the 'Description' include as much detail on the problem or question, for example:
    • When the user(s) first become aware of the problem
    • Details of the question
    • Name of layer(s) and dataset(s) trying to access
    • URL of connection that's not working or relating to the question
    • Software being used (e.g., ArcPro, web application)

If you are with a North Dakota State Agency

  • If you do not see the "How can we help?" banner, click on the 'All applications' icon in the upper left then click on the 'Self Service Portal' link at the top left.
  • Do you need to report a problem such as something has stopped working or have a question?
    • Click on the 'Get Help' icon
    • In the 'Please describe your issue below' include as much information as you know, for example:
      • When the user(s) first become aware of the problem
      • Name of layer(s) and dataset(s) trying to access
      • URL of connection that's not working
      • Database connection that's not working
      • Server name(s) involved
      • Name(s) of NDIT staff who may have helped with this in the past
      • Software being used (e.g., ArcPro, web application)
      • Attach Screenshot of error(s) using the Add Attachment option
  • Do you need to request work to be done?
    • Click on the 'Request Something'   
    • Select a category that matches the nature of your request
    • If the request is related to "geospatial" or "GIS" then navigate to 'Service Mgmt - Geospatial Request'
