- ADA Digital Accessibility
- State governments are required to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by April 2026 (see https://nsgic.org/initiatives/accessibility then scroll to “For more information, view the ADA fact sheet for state and local governments about accessibility for web and mobile
- NDIT also has an accessibility page: https://www.ndit.nd.gov/support/digital-accessibility-hub
- Esri has “enhanced” base maps that we can use in our apps. Because these are vector tile maps, we also have the ability to change their appearance.
- NDIT has settled upon the Siteimprove tool for checking accessibility.
- Esri appears to put us into a pretty good place with Experience Builder for example. In the builder tool, in the lower right corner there is an A11Y button (https://www.accessibilitychecker.org/blog/a11y/).
- Roundtable/Open Forum
- Rod said Department of Water Resources has approved funding for 2 HUC 8's, including a finer resolution to allow 1-acre ponds and above to be visible
- Rod suggested the state needs to have regular imagery collection, going to the Legislature for funding. He suggested the SGC have a conversation on the details.
