2026 Statewide Imagery
Based on what the State Geospatial Committee (SGC) members have been hearing, it appears that North Dakota will not have imagery collected for the 2026 NAIP. This could change of course, but the SGC believes it is important to keep everyone in the loop. North Dakota has been very fortunate to have received NAIP imagery nearly every year beginning in 2003; missing a year may come as a bit of a shock to our expectations and needs. With that in mind, if you find statewide imagery to be an important part of the business needs of your organization, please consider compiling how imagery supports those business needs and how your organization could support potential future imagery collections (letter of support, legislative committee testimony, funding). That information will be very useful should we need to conduct a statewide imagery collection effort.
